Help me give my students a calming corner. Students with autism often require a safe space to take breaks and attend to sensory needs.

My Project
I love my students so much! Many of them are from low-income families in high needs areas. People with autism often require sensory breaks and calm areas to regulate their emotions.
We will use these materials to create a safe space in our classroom for our students to take appropriate breaks, to deal withe sensory overload.
This will help them in the future by being able to request a break and foster communication and self advocacy.
Our students have trouble communicating and this will allow them to deal with challenging behaviors that may arise during the day. Its age appropriate, safe and secure for them.
