This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In my ABA sub-separate classroom, I've carefully chosen materials that cater to my students' unique interests and needs while aligning with our curriculum. Four standout items, including Play-Doh, therapy putty, play sand, and liquid motion bubblers, offer diverse benefits. Play-Doh and therapy putty enhance fine motor skills, while play sand and bubblers provide sensory engagement and emotional support.

These materials and the rug not only promote individual growth but also serve as powerful tools for building a sense of community within our classroom.

Play-Doh activities encourage collaboration and teamwork as students work together on creative projects. Additionally, the sensory experiences offered by play sand and liquid motion bubblers create a calming atmosphere that fosters social interaction, providing valuable opportunities for students to connect and communicate.

Incorporating these materials into our curriculum enhances our students' sense of belonging and togetherness, as they engage in activities that promote teamwork, socialization, and emotional well-being. They play a vital role in creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment where our students can thrive both academically and socially.
