This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In our 6th grade class, most of my students are struggling to stay focused in class. We have temporarily borrowed some calming, sensory tools from neighboring teachers. So far, these tools have been greatly aiding my students' attention during class.

My students would like to have our own classroom set of calming tools that they can share for the entire year.

These items can be costly. Therefore, I hope that my students will be able to have access to flexible seating and weighted calming tools and be able to take turns using these tools throughout the school year.
