My Project
Coming from a middle school resource position to an elementary resource position in special education, I want to provide my students with a calming environment full of resources to help them excel in their academics and social-emotional learning. I will be working with K-5 and each of the items in this project will be used to support a cozy working environment.
Many students, especially those with disabilities, thrive off of flexible seating, the use of sensory materials, and small, calm learning environments.
The items in this project will help to create this desired learning environment while also providing them with various flexible seating options such as beanbag chairs, calming resources to create a "Calm Corner", and organization for various materials used in a resource classroom.
