My Project
My students are bright, energetic, deserve a learning environment that prioritize their well-being. The supplies requested for this project will be used to create moveable 'calming stations' that provide options and opportunities for mindful reflection.
These rolling carts will allow students to access calming and creative activities at any location in our classroom.
Stocked with craft, mindfulness, and fidget accessories, these carts will lend a sense of serenity to our students.
The inclusion of healthy growing plants will also help to offset the harsh conditions of our class, which occupies a 100 year old room in a building without a functioning AC/Heat system.
Overall, this project will help to add a deliberate emphasis on socio-emotional well-being for our classroom.
