This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Sometimes all you need is a relaxing space and the art tools, time, and the ability to paint a beautiful picture to feel calm and more centered to focus on more advanced/academic tasks.

My home-bound students need a BRAIN BREAK and the best way to do that is to color and create crafty calming works of art.

I find that they center themselves after they have taken a quick 5 minute brain break. They always come back to it and finish it over time, without rushing, and knowing that they have the materials handy is always a plus.
