Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am a school social worker and my main goal is to empower students so that they learn the skills needed to self-regulate and cope with stressors.
My students are resilient, kindhearted and open to learning.
I am impressed daily by their willingness to discuss mental health and build positive connections.
By receiving the tools requested from this project, my students will have access to a Calming Area in my classroom where they can practice self-regulation by utilizing tools such as fidgets, SEL Books, sensory tools, art materials and more!
