My Project
My students come to school ready to learn but sometimes they also need an area to calm themselves after arrival and departure from family, and before transitioning to other activities throughout the day.
A calming area that has comfortable seating and carpet where they can gather themselves quietly, would be most beneficial for my students.
This space would help them learn to regulate their own behavior in an environment that is supportive.
Early learners experience a wide range of emotions daily and are learning how to control and communicate their needs effectively. Giving them the tools to help with this task would be awesome.
