This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our special needs students are learning how to regulate their emotions. Many of our students are non-verbal and they struggle to express their wants and needs. Due to this, our classroom requires proper equipment to support their needs. Our classroom consists of seven interest areas as well as a designated calming area. The purpose of the calming area is to help our students feel safe to regulate their emotions.
With this calming area bundle, my students will be able to regain their emotional and physical control.
The supplies provided in this kit will be useful in helping our students release their stress as well as learn how to properly express their feelings.
