Help me give my students a calm corner in my classroom so they have a safe space to work through their feelings and emotions and work on their self-regulation skills.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Having a designated calming area would allow my preschool students to practice their coping skills and how to self-regulate their feelings and emanations, contributing to their improved mental health.
Students need support at an early age to identify their feelings and healthy ways to work through and regulate the more challenging aspects of them.
By providing a safe space using the calm canopy, students will have a designated safe space in our classroom to explore their feelings and emotions with a variety of materials that include best behavior books, emotion mirrors, and emotion puzzles.
Thank you for your help supporting our youngest learners.
