Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our students are learning to become wonderful friends as well as learning to calm their emotions. For our age group and the population we serve, it really supports our kiddos to have tools for them to use to learn self-regulation skills.
Wobble seats are a great alternative seat option.
They can move them to a calming location that is most comfortable for them, as well as the motion can support to ease sensory needs. We adults at times love to use sand gardens to calm ourselves, the same goes for our students. The soft texture and the ability to squeeze it is soothing.
