it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am working in a preschool classroom with students who are full of energy , very curious about their environment and loves to learn. Therefore, I want to create a calming area for my students to take a breaks from the noise and high activity levels of the classroom and a place for them to relax when they are stressed, overwhelmed, upset, or simply in the mood to be by themselves.
The calming area can help my students to soothe themselves while they get drop off in the morning or when they are in a overly noisy activities such as music and movement they can take a break and relax in the corner.
Taking these kinds of breaks encourage my students to develop important social emotional skills, such as self -awareness, acknowledgements of feelings, and self-soothing skills.
