Help me give my students a calming corner to support their mental health.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Having a designated calming area would allow my preschool students to learn and practice their coping skills and how to self-regulate their feelings and emotions, contributing to their improved mental health.
Students need support at an early age to identify their feelings and healthy ways to work through and regulate the more challenging aspects of them.
By providing a safe space using the toddler treehouse hideaway, students will have a safe space to explore different materials about feelings including books and tools to identify and regulate their feelings. Thank you.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
