Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My 3 to 4-year-old students are part of a special education program called Preschool for All Learners (PAL). They all present developmental delays but that does not delay their curiosity in learning.
A calming area is a great place for students to learn self-soothing strategies.
I've requested the calming area bundle which is age appropriate and it includes materials such as social-emotional books, pictures, sensory balls, and other materials. This space will be designed for them to use when needed and will help them develop self-management skills. It would be a great safe space for our students in addition to our classroom.
