Help me give my students a calming area to help them learn how to identify their emotions so they can better regulate them.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I want to create a new and improved Calm down center so my students have a calm place to unwind when they begin to feel overwhelmed and in need of a well-deserved break. The Calm down area would allow my Early Education Students to practice key Social Emotional skills such as self-regulation, and mindfulness which are key practices in regulating stress.
The calm down area would include sensory items such as bean bags, sensory windows, gel bead shapes, and sensory ball set would allow my students to fidget with objects of various textures.
These sensory toys would allow my students to de-stress and reset themselves to return to classroom activities and be ready for learning.
The calm down area will be placed as an extension of our library area with the use of various décor to create a warmer, calmer environment. Items like Social emotional photo library and the Feelings and Emotions Paperback library allows students to practice skills identifying their own feelings. The canopy and sand timer would allow students to regulate in a safe space.
