This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My classroom is a kinder-4th grade Special Day Class. Although they have learning and behavioral challenges, they come to school everyday and thrive in learning.
My students come to school everyday eager to learn but most of the times their emotions interfere with that goal.
Creating a quiet and calm space in the classroom will allow them to learn how to de-escalate in a quiet space inside the classroom utilizing the tools and the posters. My students will then be able to regain composure and rejoin the class in a healthy way.
