Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Students with special needs at Lassen Elementary lack adequate materials and space for sensory comfort and de-escalation. Our teachers have been promised a space for this purpose.
Now we need to fill the space with sensory materials to meet the needs of a variety of students.
Once this area is created our students with and without special needs can work together doing projects and socializing. This area can also be used to encourage our students to participate in academic activities while meeting their personal sensory needs.
