Help me give my students The material needs to create and warm and inviting space where they can destress and positively manage their emotions. In addition, the sensory materials will help promote focus and concentration.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My kiddos are very curious and love to explore their environment. To thrive, students need a positive and supportive learning environment to help them grow and develop to their full potential; social-emotional understanding is essential.
Social-emotional learning helps develop skills related to social interaction, emotional awareness and regulation, and responsible decision-making.
The materials selected will be used to teach SEL skills in a fun and engaging way. Some examples of these resources include puzzles, games, and stress balls. They will help create a space where my students take a break, destress, and calm down. The goal of my classroom, a quiet corner, is to provide my students with a safe, supportive space where they can take a break and recharge when feeling overwhelmed or upset.
