This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students come to school with different experiences which affect their learning outcomes. Having a calming corner encourage students to filter their energy in a positive venue.

As a safe space, this calming corner will help students identify and help regulate their emotions in a healthy manner.

Students will have soothing options, independence as well as books to help them cope with their emotions in order to be successful in their academics.

This quiet corner of the classroom will be equipped with all that students will need in order to be independent problem solvers.
