Please help me give my students a calming area. My students live with Autism, so having a safe place in the classroom where they can go and cool down for a minute will work great in my classroom.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This will be my first year as a teacher; I would love to provide my students with a safe, welcoming space. My students are in a Transitional Kindergarten-2nd grade AUT CORE classroom. My students live with disabilities; however, all of them are part of the general education curriculum. The bean bags, balls, calming kits, and other materials will make a difference by allowing them to go to the calming cornelian to calm themselves down when needed. This will be our first year together. I would love to provide a welcoming, safe space for all learners.
