This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Help me give my students a calming corner where they can deescalate when they feel overwhelmed. Enhancing their classroom will greatly benefit their social emotional learning.

My students are very loving but are also learning about new feelings they are experiencing which has caused uneasiness due to uncertainty.

This comfortable space would provide an area for freedom of expression and show my students their feelings are valid and can be managed in a positive environment. Students will have the flexibility to enter this space when learning a subject they find challengingly frustrating.
