Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Help me support my students' social emotional and multi-language accommodations by providing my classroom with a tent for our calm down area. The students in my classroom have sensory needs that mostly include them being underneath items that are not the safest. A tent will be a place where students can safely go to when they need their sensory needs met.
Having a printer in the classroom will help accommodate my multi-language and visual learners.
A printer will provide color in the classroom which will brighten the learning environment and enrich the print display throughout the class.
My goal is to use these items to help foster a calming, colorful, and exciting learning environment for my students. These items will help me during whole group lessons and will give children assistance with their social emotional learning. My ultimate goal is to provide a safe learning environment for my students and I believe these items will help achieve that goal.
My students deserve these items because they’re special. Because of some of my students living situations, these items will provide them comfort and warmth while they are at school. Overall, my students are the greatest group of children who will be highly appreciative if they were allowed to receive these products, and so would I as their teacher.
