This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Sensory tents will provide students with a quiet, safe space to regulate their emotions and sensory needs, reducing the feeling of being overwhelmed and stressed. This enables them to refocus, improve concentration, and engage more effectively in learning activities.
By offering individualized support, sensory tents will promote a more inclusive environment, fostering emotional well-being and enhancing overall academic performance.
Currently we have to move tents between two separate classrooms in order to serve all students. We would like to be able to have tents in each environment to make sure we are servicing all our students sensory needs effectively.
