This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This project will provide a variety of fidgets and sensory tools to support student focus, emotional regulation, and engagement during math instruction. Many students benefit from having something small and quiet in their hands to help them concentrate or relieve anxiety, especially during independent work or testing.
Items like silent fidgets, textured stress balls, and weighted blankets allow students to manage their energy in healthy, non-disruptive ways.
These tools will be integrated into classroom routines through a clearly labeled “focus station,” promoting responsibility and self-awareness. By offering these supports, we’ll create a calmer, more inclusive learning space where all students can thrive in math.
