Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
More and more each year I am looking at how I can help my 5th graders mental health. This year I would like to create a calm down space within my class. We ask a lot from our students so when they need a bit of space, these chairs will give them that opportunity to sit away from their desk and peers and take a minute or five. Then rejoin as needed. These chairs will give the students exactly what they need without having to sit in a "too small" of a chair.
This will help in their learning because they will not have to leave the classroom to find a space like this.
Most chairs are too small for my growing 5th graders, these are the perfect size not only for them but for my classroom as well.
