This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Sometimes students get frustrated in the classroom. As part of the meltdown, I created a Calm down area where they can take a breather and calm down. The goal of the calm down corner is to give the students a place where they can calm down using different strategies.
Some way to calm the student down is by using liquid sensory windows.
This helps students with their fine motor skills and concrete as they play. Another tool that would benefit the students is the Rainbow liquid sensory viewers. This helps the students calm down by turning the glass upside down and watching the bubbles fall down in a calm way.
