This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This is my first DonorsChoose project. I am in great need of Kleenex, printer/copy paper, and pencils to get my students through the end of this school year. I am also working on building a calm down corner to support the social emotional needs of my students. We are a low-income school on the Southwest side of Chicago. Materials will be used to print student assignments, pencils for students who do not have them, and Kleenex to get us through this cold and flu season.

I currently have a calm down corner, but it lacks any tools for students to use to help them regulate their emotions.

These tools that are in this project will be used by students to teach emotional regulation, help them when they're feeling stressed or down, and will get them ready to be back on task to learn!
