My Project
My students have lots of BIG emotions, and part of my job as their school counselor is to teach them how to recognize and manage these emotions. Many of my students experience many challenges at home, and are often carrying a lot of stress in their lives. My room is safe space they can come to calm down, work through their emotions, and recharge so they are ready to learn.
Children with BIG emotions cannot learn without proper tools, so help me give my students fidgets, art supplies and coping strategies they need to help them regulate their emotions.
The items in my project are tools my students will be able to use to cope with their emotions and learn how to self-regulate so they are calm, focused, and ready to learn!
