Calm Down Corner Needed for Students in Special Education

Help me give my students a fantastic calm down corner. As a special education teacher, being able to provide students with a safe and calm place to regroup and deescalate is a necessity.

My Project

I learned quickly how important a calm down corner and flexible seating is in my self-contained special education classroom. Throughout the course of the school day, there are often moments when students need to regroup or deescalate. A calm down corner has done wonders to help students with taking time away from the group while remaining in the classroom. I'm working to make our calm down corner inviting and comfortable. These bean bag chairs will go a long way to making our classroom calm down corner more student friendly!
