My Project

Hello everyone! Thank you for taking the time to check out my project. Many of the things that I have listed here are meant to help students get out of their heads and recconect with their surroundings. Our students come from all over the Valley and the journey can be difficult for many of them. Having fidget toys like the sensory tubes, mazes, jelly filled drawing pads and the fish lamp can allow them to escape from the stresses of their minds. The textured strips give them a chance to breathe with the design and fidget with an object that isn't too distracting for the class.

My goal for this project is to be able to provide students with the opportunity to find a break away from their stresses in life that prevent them from progressing in their academics.

Many students come to school stressed from external sources that we are unable to fully assist with. The fidget toys and stress balls give them a chance to escape their minds and feel or think about something other than the situation troubling them.

Our students are special because are constantly battling adversity. For many of them, they believe our school is their last chance. They have been constantly put down, discouraged, neglected and abandoned. When they come to our school, they give their best efforts in their work. The students are polite, well-mannered, have big dreams and want to share their talents with the world. These students maintain brave faces while dealing with pain, trauma, homelessness and abandonment. Everyday, these students come to work and leave their pain behind.
