My Project

Our K-2 self-contained classroom is full of bright, unique learners who thrive with hands-on, multi-sensory support. To help our students grow socially, emotionally, and academically, we’re working to create a calming and interactive sensory room—a safe space where students can regulate their emotions, refocus, and return to learning ready and calm.

In addition to supporting their sensory needs, we want to give our students the tools they need to become confident writers.

With the Learning Without Tears curriculum, we’ll be able to provide a developmentally appropriate, engaging writing program designed especially for young learners with diverse needs. This program uses multisensory strategies that align beautifully with how our students learn best—through movement, visuals, and touch.
