Calm, Cozy Classroom

Help me give my students the sensory items they need to calm and feel comfortable in our classroom.

My Project

I have multiple students who use and need calming, sensory items. These items are used daily to help calm students when stressed and as a focusing tool while working on the more challenging aspects of social emotional scenarios that are difficult for my neurodivergent students.

These items would allow the possibility of multiple items for students and it increase the calming options we already have in the classroom.

I am asking for liquid motion bubble timer, bubble maker and expandable ball for my students to use as calming mechanism tool. The sensory light coverings will be used to create a calmer and serene space for students who need supports for relaxation when anxious and overwhelmed during the learning process throughout the day.

These tools are especially important for teaching coping skills as they allow students to physically engage with sensory items when seeking to calm down as a result of social emotional interactions with peers and staff. With more students than usual this year these items are crucial to the well being of the students in my classroom. Having extra will be essential to everyone in the class.
