My students come from a variety of countries and my classroom is one of the few places they can feel comfortable and unwind. Their focus is on learning English but many of them enjoy to do this through art. They will use this area to produce vocabulary as well as pictures of their countries.
I am requesting a small whiteboard that they can use in small groups with markers to create nooks where they can review work with a partner or a few classmates.
In addition, I will need to print out worksheets for them to color and label as well as flags and other printouts that they can use to decorate and calms themselves during lunch breaks. These combination of materials in a designated area all for them will do wonders.
