This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As previously stated, I am building a calm corner for my students. The items listed in this project are additional supplies that were recommended to me by teachers and psychological social workers that I work with. Some of my students have school phobia or social anxiety, so it is very beneficial to have things like pillows for my students to hug or a tent that they can feel grounded in.
Creating safe spaces for our students is an essential yet sometimes expensive feat to accomplish.
Every student is different and can be engaged/calmed by different incentives and methods. I am asking for your help to complete my elaborate calm corner so that I am able to serve all my students.
