Introducing calm-down corners in each classroom, coupled with a comprehensive emotion management curriculum, will significantly enhance our students' ability to navigate their emotions effectively.
Calm down corners provide a safe, dedicated space for students to regulate their emotions during moments of stress or being overwhelmed.
These corners, equipped with calming tools and resources, empower students to practice self-regulation techniques, leading to improved focus and behavior. When children have access to these spaces, they are better prepared to return to learning with a clear mind.
Moreover, implementing an emotion management curriculum for grades K-5 is crucial in teaching our students essential life skills.
