My Project
A calm corner in classrooms provides a dedicated space for students to self-regulate and refocus. My students need a calm corner that has tea, water, peppermints, tumblers, snacks and more. Integrating a calm corner demonstrates a commitment to my students’ holistic development, addressing both emotional needs and academic growth. The calm corner will be a place in my classroom that will allow the to calm down when they feel overwhelmed. We were previously funded bean bags and lava lamps for our calm corner. I want my students to learn how to use various strategies in order to calm down when they are in a stressful situation. This project will help support them in their day to day life.
