My Project

Every child deserves to feel safe, supported, and seen—especially at school. For many of my students, the school day is the most stable part of their lives. Outside of the classroom, they may face challenges that are far beyond their control: housing insecurity, family trauma, community violence, or constant instability. That’s why I’m working to create a calm, nurturing classroom environment that allows students to focus, breathe, and learn.

This project is about more than classroom supplies—it’s about creating a space that feels like a refuge.

I’m seeking resources like calming lighting, sensory tools, soft seating, and organizational materials that help students regulate their emotions and feel secure. These items are small in appearance but make a huge difference in how students show up for learning. When we meet students’ emotional needs, we give them the best chance to succeed academically.

Your donation will help build a classroom that tells every child, “You belong here. You are safe here.” With your support, we can provide consistency, calm, and care in a world that doesn’t always offer those things.
