My dynamic group of students have diverse social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
Each student in my classroom is very unique and requires individualized support and resources. However, all of my students require instruction in social skills. Teaching students social skills allows them to learn strategies to manage frustration, make and maintain friendships, manage emotions, and accept help and support from others. My Project
These materials will help create a calm space in my classroom for students to process big emotions. My students all struggle with emotional regulation. This space will allow students a place to practice their tools in our learning environment. Without this space, students often require an out of classroom break. This project will empower my students to use their tools in class and increase their learning in class. The books in this project help my students continue their social emotional learning. These books teach feelings, classify emotions, and introduce empathy. The inside out posters show emotions to students in a visual way they understand and will help make our calm space a beautiful safe place for all students.
