Kindergarten is an exploration through our developing senses and interest. This year my students will be experiencing the classroom for the first time in 2 years or the first time ever.
My students are learning how to read, write, and count.
Other students are working on developing their phonemic awareness to manipulate and build words. We love the outdoors, experiments, and connecting our learning to the world around us.
My Project
The products in this project will be used to create an oasis inside of our classroom. My little friends and I have been distanced for over a year. With that, we have found new habits and found some comfort in seclusion. This huge transition back into society will take some time for our little friends. I will use the Tear Drop Bean Bag chair to allow students to have a more comfortable area to regroup and strive for academic excellence. The chains will be used as counting activities in the calm down corner. This corner will be filled with stimulators that will not only keep the brain active, but allow our friends to find peace in the classroom.
