Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This project of a calm and cozy study corner is to help make my students feel welcome in a supportive environment. It will allow my students to stay longer and feel comfortable staying in my classroom so they will achieve more of their educational goals.

My students come once a week and are in an independent study program therefore time spent on campus is crucial for their success.

Often they do not have all their assignments completed and utilizing a relaxing corner will help them focus.

These students are at-risk for not completing their graduation requirements so any help is critical and would have a huge impact. I've seen so many students succeed in our program, but we lack that calming experience most students would enjoy.
