My students are creative, thoughtful, and full of energy. They absolutely love hands-on, active and engaging projects that allow them to move throughout the classroom.
They come to school each day ready to take chances in order to grow both personally and academically.
They are truly my inspiration!
Being in a Title I school my students have many needs that are unmet. We incorporate a variety of learning strategies, group work, and alternative seating and learning options to ensure that each student's needs are met, right where they are!
My Project
In light of Covid-19 students in my class have had to work through so many emotions to be at school. Many of them have had to quarantine more than one time as well as being concerned each time we have an at home learning day. Because of this they have had to work harder at school to make sure they understand what we are learning.
We have a need in my classroom for a calming corner where students can work through their feelings.
These chairs will give students a place to come and work through their emotional needs. In the calm corner they are provided fidget toys, coloring pages, puzzles, and many more things to help them.
Giving students a place within their classroom to feel calm and ready for the next learning lesson is imperative to their growth. These chairs will give them that little extra comfort that they need.
