This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

When students enter the 6th grade it really does feel like a completely different world for them. At our school they are promoted to the oldest group of students in the school, they are outside in portables, and they now have 4 teachers to rotate in between instead of just having one. To say the very least, it is a culture shock!

I want to provide my students with a welcoming and clean classroom that makes them want to come to class and be engaged with their education.

As a teacher I always foster respect and awareness for our surroundings. These materials will help me make my classroom well lit, "cool," and clean so that they can focus on what is really important. I want to provide my students with an environment that makes them want to do well.
