Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This project is for new novels to fit our mystery genre and genre unit of study. Each month we will focus on a new genre and we are lacking mysteries.

Mysteries offer students a great opportunity to hone cause-and-effect skills; mysteries also encourage re-reading which is important because nothing makes for stronger readers than practice, practice, practice.

Students will dress the part and use their inference skills to make predictions and solve the mysteries while learning the difference between protagonists and antagonists. These new novels are necessary to move us forward on this genre unit of study. We can't wait to get started- solving these mysteries and learning how clues can help us along the way.
