In depth knowledge needed. I teach chemistry and physical science(grades 9-12) in a high-need community.
Inquiry but no depth. From calculating density, to acceleration, to the mass/charge ratio, it is nearly impossible to go into any depth with my students because most do not possess calculators, so any mathematical calculations are a real problem(and there are so many and their importance is so great).
I am in need of a class set of 10-digit calculators that my class will be able to use for scientific calculations. This will greatly increase my students awareness and understanding of a variety of scientific concepts.
Your assistance will make it possible for my students to be able to achieve greater success in the classroom this year and beyond. So many concepts in science are governed by mathematical calculations and the benefit for my students would be immeasurable.
