My Project
As we all know, math builds on each other and only continues to become more complex. In 6th grade, there are students that understand the concept but end up being penalized due to computation error. With calculators being provided to all students, it alleviates the anxiety for those students, allowing them to focus on accurately transferring their knowledge of the concept.
My students understand what it means to be different: culturally, personally, and academically.
Instead of using their diverse backgrounds to cause separation, they use it and embrace inclusion. They use their strengths to support each other and make up the needs of their classmates. They have created an environment where ALL students support one another inside and outside the classroom; a true class family.
