This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are hard working and determined young ladies and gentlemen striving to be successful in all levels of chemistry from Standard level to Higher Level International Baccalaureate program. My school is 70% low income, 70% Hispanic, 10 % African American, 15 % Caucasian and the last 5% are Mixed, Asian and other ethnicities. Due to being low income many of my students are not about to buy scientific calculator to perform the calculations needed to be successful in Chemistry at any level. By having this class set of calculators I will be able to minimize the poverty inequality that exists at my school and help many of my students build their confidence in Math and Chemistry.
