Help me give my students calculators so they can be successful in math!
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Hash's classroom raised $1,047

My Students
My students are all about making things easy and when it comes to math calculators are an essential tool for them. Most of my students come from diverse and low-income households. They want to learn, but many lack the supplies they need in order to be successful in the classroom. A vast majority of my students cannot finish assignments due to the lack of supplies they need.
Our school is located in Southeastern rural Oklahoma-we are an hour away from any major city.
The local economy grows at a glacial pace, and due to this many families struggle to find employment and opportunity. My students are thankful for the resources we provide for them and realize that they are needed if they are to learn the material and be successful. As a teacher of 27 years, I try to provide my students with the supplies they need but I am limited with what I can do. This grant would help greatly with that.
My Project
My geometry students are always needing to solve equations, calculate square roots, and do trigonometric calculations to find angles and length measurements. Many of my students don't have the means to purchase their own calculators and unfortunately, I don't have enough calculators in my room for them to take home.
Placing calculators directly in students' hands has three benefits.
Students' confidence in their own mathematical abilities will increase with the extra support and technology, while simultaneously enabling them to build mathematical skills and continue to practice foundational skills that some otherwise would not be able to do.
More than half of students from low‑income households
