My Project
Mathematics is one of the most difficult subject for students to grasp the concepts. I have taught 6th grade through 12th grade and as high as Algebra 2. If students do not have the tools they need to be successful when learning the content, the content won't stick. The most common concept in math students struggle with are fractions.
I have seniors taking an algebra-based financial class that will prepare them for after they graduate high school and these scientific calculators will help them in my class.

My students range on the spectrum when it comes to their ability to do math. The calculators I request for my students will help level the playing field to make sure all my students are successful in my Math for Data and Financial Literacy course.
Some of my students cannot get a scientific calculator for class. My Math for Data and Financial Literacy course contains finance problems with complex formulas that would be easier to plug into a multi-line calculator instead of a since line calculator like the TI30Xa.
