My Project
My 7th and 8th grade classes need whiteboards and calculators for our slope unit. We are starting in-person lessons with our virtual learners to help them better understand standards and currently don't have in-person supplies.
Students learn math better with the tools in front of them and can work collaboratively with their peers.
Switching from all online learning to a hybrid model means we suddenly need different supplies to address our students' needs. Using whiteboards to work through how slope is calculated, as well as what slope means is easier with a whiteboard that includes the coordinate plane. This saves time from having to draw the coordinate plane out over and over again. Students really enjoy working with whiteboards more than paper and pencil for calculating and modeling slope.
