Help me give my students read aloud books that will capture their interest!
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Riley's classroom raised $500

My Students
My 2019-20 school year ended abruptly on March 13, 2020. We had to go to a combination of online learning and students receiving paper packets. Our district is investing heavily in technology to insure that each student has a device to receive digital instruction this fall.
The future of teaching and learning is in limbo, it depends on the spread of the virus if we will be in the classroom, online, or a combination.
I want to be ready, with engaging lessons whatever the means will be.
My Project
Students need to learn CAFE strategies: comprehension, accuracy, fluency, and expanded vocabulary. These read aloud picture books will provide focused lessons that will capture the interest of young learners. These books will be a great source for modeling the CAFE strategies that are lifelong reading foundational skills.
These exceptional picture books can be read in person or online to students.
I will model with these books how to check for understanding, back up and reread, cross checking, and to find new and interesting words. By modeling with these fabulous books, that are recommended by the CAFE authors Gail Boushey and Joan Moser, my students will know how to use these important strategies on their own.
